Violin and Viola Lessons
I teach a range of pupils from dedicated youngsters, to advanced college-age students. I work with students who wish to pursue a career in music, as well as those for whom music is an important part of their total education. Currently, I teach at the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, Young Chamber Musicians, and have private studios in both the San Bruno and Palo Alto areas. I have worked in the San Francisco Conservatory Preparatory division, and have been a visiting Lecturer of Violin at Cornell University. I teach the violin and viola because I believe that music is absolutely essential to our lives. Music is beauty, energy, connection, and community; all things that help to make us more human. As a performer and teacher, I am struck time and again by the power music has to impact our lives. This is why I chose to become a musician, and I feel privileged to take part in the journey that my students have in discovering these principles for themselves.
